Disney's 'Liv And Maddie' Renewed For Season 4

The news broke this morning that Disney Channel's "Liv and Maddie" is being renewed for a fourth season.
Although Disney hasn't sent out a press release for the renewal, lead of the hit series, Dove Cameron, confirmed it on her Twitter page.
It is currently unknown when production will start, but is highly likely that it will start sometime next spring with a fall 2016 premiere.
Currently, "Liv And Maddie" serves as Disney Channel's #1 Sunday night show and #2 show on the network with its demographic ratings. 9 out the 20 episodes in Season 3 have aired thus far with the season set to conclude this summer.
The sitcom also stars Joey Bragg, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, Kalia Rocha, and Benjamin King. It was created by John D Beck ("According To Jim", "Shake It Up!") and Ron Hart ("The Hughleys", "Shake It Up!". Joey Bragg, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, Kali Rocha, and Benjamin King co-star with Cameron. Other guest stars this season include Kristen Bell, Patty Duke, and Piper Curda.

Nickelodeon Year-Long Top 5 2015 Ratings Rankings

These are the rankings based on the ratings and reception of the live-action Nickelodeon shows throughout the amazing year of 2015. Nickelodeon's ratings have began to drop this year. Some shows stayed on top and stayed with the ratings Nickelodeon had in 2014 while some shows sank and have delivered lackluster ratings. Currently, the network has 6 shows airing. Here are the rankings for the top 5 shows:

Note: Keep in mind, these are purely based on the RATINGS, but it also depends on the TIME SLOT and the PREMIERE DAY. Weekend days are better for ratings than weekdays. That will be taken into consideration. This is also barely based on my personal opinion rather than taking everything above into account.

1. The Thundermans
The cast of Nickelodeon's #1 show at the 2015 Kids Choice Awards.
This show has proven to be Nickelodeon's most successful show right now with ratings and the fan base. Kira and Jack have both built their own fan bases as well which have been especially favorable for the show. The popularity of this show continues to grow. During this year's Kids Choice Awards, it beat Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn and Bella and the Bulldogs to the slime car wash.

Mostly, the show's ratings have been great. Nickelodeon unfortunately has put the show on various premiere nights and times confusing the younger audience. In 2015, the show began at 9:30PM. It changed to 7:00PM when Nick wasted its episodes during the weekdays along with the canceled Haunted Hathaways. It then was set at 8:00PM on Saturday to premiere 4 episodes of its third season during summer. Currently it is at the 7:30PM time slot on Wednesdays as a lead-in to Bella & The Bulldogs

This show has won every premiere night this year, but three (January, March, October). The series average throughout the year has been 1.69 million viewers with the season 3 premiere, "Phoebe vs. Max: The Sequel" garnering the highest ratings of 2015 for a live-action show with a Disney-beating 2.42 million viewers. Renewal for Season 4, if it chooses to be renewed, will be expected to arrive at the Nickelodeon Upfront in February or sometime in spring.

2. Henry Danger
Promo picture for the hit show's second season which premiered on September 12.
Henry Danger has been one of Nick's most successful shows with a huge fan base. The ratings have been steady throughout 2015. The show averaged with 1.69 million viewers, just 0.002 behind The Thundermans.

Nickelodeon has gave massive priority to this show, however, along with Dan's other show, Game Shakers. Both shows remained on Nickelodeon's weekend Saturday premiere night with Henry staying at it's season 1 time slot. The most recent episode of the show (which was Christmas-themed) garnered 1.62 million viewers.

This season so far has seen Henry choosing between three girls in his love life, defeating an evil time jerker, and fighting crime without Captain Man. Renewal for the show should come sometime next spring.

3. Every Witch Way
The promotional poster for the final season of the show which concluded the series on July 30, 2015.
This magical scripted telenova-type series has been one of Nickelodeon's most successful franchises, especially in a WEEKDAY STRIP (a show that airs one season every weekday for a month and takes a hiatus until its second season follows the pattern). The show which led for 2 years from January 2014 to July 2015 was very popular within the fan base.

It was nominated for a Kids Choice Awards and came second to Austin & Ally, if you looked at the Twitter voting statistics. However, this show's average was 1.44 million viewers with its third and fourth season which both aired this year. The show did amazing for weekday strips which usually get the lowest viewers in terms of comedic live-action shows due to the bad scheduling for premieres.

The finale garnered 1.64 million viewers and the show also came out with the spinoff, WITS Academy, which premiered in October 2015 and was less successful. The spinoff is yet to be renewed for a second season, but a renewal may come soon if Nickelodeon decides to renew it as it did deliver some low ratings.

4. Game Shakers

The show has been receiving great ratings with it's great lead-in, Henry Danger. The hour long series premeire, "Sky wHALE" even managed to beat Disney's "Best Friends Whenever" with its hour long special garnering about 1.9 million viewers with Nickelodeon itself.

The series has averaged in 1.66 million viewers throughout the year of 2015.

It's current season has 26 episodes with 16 yet to air. It will begin airing again in January 2016 with season 2 set to conclude in summer 2016.

5. Make It Pop
A still from the Season 2 premiere, "The Gift", following the girls on Christmas Eve.
Make It Pop has done fairly well as a daily strip averaging with 1.36 million viewers this year. It has beaten Talia In The Kitchen with ratings despite Talia having the hit show, Every Witch Way, as a lead-in.

The K-pop influenced music show's most recent special garnered 1.27 million viewers with it's last episode, the Season 2 Christmas premiere.

Season 2 of the show promises to be more about boys and the arrival of a new boy band at Mackendrick Prep high school.
